Based on feedback from a previous GRT video I posted, I chose to avoid adding a scleral buckle. This patient is a bit over a month out and recovered 20/20 vision in the eye. Retina is flat with no evidence of PVR.

One of my favorite features on the Associate is the illuminated scleral depressor. In private practice, I don't always have a skilled assistant. The illuminated depression, while takes time to get used to, significantly improved my efficiency without compromising thoroughness of vit base shaving.
