Lessons Learned From the PROWL Study

Elizabeth Hofmeister, MD, discusses the lessons learned from the Patient-Reported Outcomes With Laser In Situ Keratomileusis (PROWL) Studies conducted by the FDA, the NEI, the Department of the Navy and several refractive surgery centers. The PROWL study revealed several important findings, Dr. Hofmeister says, including that the PROWL questionnaire is a validated instrument to assess patients' symptoms before and after LASIK.
