Supra-Tenons Baerveldt Glaucoma Drainage Device

Show Description +

This video demonstrates the placement of a Baerveldt 250 sq mm Glaucoma Drainage Device (GDD) in the supra-Tenons space. The posterior plate of the GDD is placed over Tenons capsule to reduce the risk of encapsulation and failure. The anterior tube is placed beneath Tenons capsule and under a native scleral flap to reduce the risk of tube erosion and eliminate the need for a patch graft.
