Triple Procedure in UGH Case

Mario Riquelme-Quintero, MD, and Jose Enrique Maldonado, MD, present the case of a 62-year-old man that developed UGH syndrome 9 months after a complicated phacoemulsification procedure with IOL implantation. The patient showed IOP of 62 mm Hg under maximum tolerated medical therapy. A triple procedure including transscleral cyclophotocoagulation, IOL exchange, and posterior vitrectomy was performed. After 2 weeks postop, the patient showed IOP of 16 mm Hg with no glaucoma medication and had improved his visual acuity to 20/400 without correction.
