Streamline Surgical System Viscoelastic Wave

Show Description +

This video demonstrates the use of the Streamline Surgical System (New World Medical) in a patient undergoing femtosecond cataract extraction with implantation of a toric IOL. Gagan Sawhney, MD, explains how the Streamline allows one to safely combine an angle-based procedure with premium IOL implantation. He says the minimally invasive procedure can decrease risk of hyphema, inflammation, and complications. The video also demonstrates the active viscoelastic wave through Schlemm canal, noted by the trabecular meshwork blanching during delivery.
