Re-DSAEK in Eye With History of Trabeculectomy and Cataract Surgery

Show Description +

Ozana Moraru, MD, shares a case of a 75-year-old male patient with a history of cataract surgery with vitreous loss, bullous keratopathy, and DSAEK graft insertion. Four years following the DSAEK procedure, the graft failed. This video presents the re-DSAEK surgery, with an unexpected double contour of the air-bubble injected in the anterior chamber after the old graft removal and before the insertion of the new graft. Surgeons observed a thick tissue connected to the peripheral posterior cornea, which had to be removed in order to obtain a clean and even posterior face of the host cornea.
