Matthew Rauen, MD, of the Wolfe Eye Clinic shares an example of DALK (Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty) with use of the "Big Bubble." Popularized by Anwar, we use the Fogala instruments in this case. This technique should be attempted if penetrating keratoplasty is being considered. We use it most often in our keratoconus patients.
