Despite DMEK's growing popularity, still, there are categories of eyes that are occasionally considered poor candidates for this operation. In particular, aphakic, postvitrectomy, and eyes with unstable lens diaphragms have been commonly dismissed as ineligible. This video shows a stepwise approach to successful DMEK surgery combined with replacing an anterior chamber IO through a posterior irisclaw (Verisyse) IOL in the same procedure.
