Y Spatula-Assisted Bimanual Implantation of Capsular Tension Ring

Show Description +

Rupert Menapace, MD, presents bimanual lens implantation in a case weak inferior zonules. The dragging forces exerted during CTR implantation may cause mechanical stress on already weak zonules. To minimize these forces, a Y spatula is inserted through a paracentesis to support and guide the ring without pulling on the on the rhexis edge. In this case, a pre-loaded 3-piece IOL is injected thorough a 2.2mm incision.

Excellent use of the "Y" Spatula. Which 3 piece IOL is this to fit through a 2.2mm incision ? Which injector and cartridge?
