Ozana Moraru, MD, shares two cases of white mature cataract surgery associated with posterior capsule rupture (PCR) produced by previous intravitreal injections and accidental puncture of the posterior capsule. In the first case, the surgeon was aware of the pre-existing PCR and was prepared for a pars plana approach, should it be needed. In the second case, the surgeon did not know about the pre-existing PCR and eventually managed the case only by anterior approach.
