Vitrectomy for Traumatic Lens Dislocation With Perfluorocarbon Liquid and Fragmatome

Show Description +

This is a very interesting way to remove a dislocated lens with no trauma to the retina, using perfluorocarbon liquid to protect the macula and barrier laser. An air fluid exchange enhances extreme peripheral retinal view thus allowing a good observation of the retina. The fragmatome has to be used with caution, and the aspiration and infusion pressure have to be in good control.
