Jeffrey Whitman, MD, demonstrates the use of the double ended Whitman-Shepherd Capsule Polisher (Bausch & Lomb, Aliso Viejo, CA) which allows for 180 degrees of cleaning. Once the capsule is sufficiently polished, a Crystalens IOL is inserted into the eye.

Similar but with smaller diameter and critically not double ended with finished on both sides of the polisher. Allows you to buy just one, cover more surface area under the flap edge and go right and left easily. The Rentsch device is more similar to the Shepherd Polisher.

the same polisher manufachtured by Geuder in Germany and carry the name of its designer(prof.Rentsch)since more than 15 years.
