Use of CALLISTO eye to Verify the Centration of a Multifocal Lens Exchange

This patient underwent an IOL exchange due to a decentration of the IOL resulting from a weak posterior capsule. I. Paul Singh, MD, exchanged the lens for a 3-piece multifocal in the sulcus. The interesting part of the video is the use of the CALLISTO eye (Carl Zeiss Meditec) intraoperative marking system to help verify centration of the IOL over the visual axis. Using the IOL Master 700 (Carl Zeiss Meditec) scans uploaded into the Callisto, we could verify the IOL was centered, despite an irregular pupil.
