Combined LASIK and KAMRA Insertion Using the Alcon FS200

Show Description +

Majid Moshirfar, MD; Orry Birdsong, MD; and Michael Murri, BS; present a combined LASIK and KAMRA inlay (AcuFocus) procedure. A temporal corneal stromal pocket was created at depth of 235 um for eventual KAMRA placement. To allow for resolution of the opaque bubble layer, a 20 minute interval was allotted. A standard corneal flap was created at 95 um, followed by the lifting of the flap, performance of excimer laser treatment, and repositioning of the corneal flap. Finally, a 3.8 mm corneal mark was placed and subsequent KAMRA placement was performed.
