A 23-year-old male with a known case of uveitis following implantation of a Ahmed Glaucoma Valve implant presents for cataract surgery. Ahmed Al Habash, MD, and Sameer Ahmad, MD, describe their technique of hooking the tube of the valve implant with an iris hook in order to avoid engaging the tube during phacoemulsification or kinking the tube to prevent shallowing of the anterior chamber during the procedure.
