Traumatic Cataract Surgery and Agrawal's Pupilloplasty

Show Description +

We present a case of traumatic cataract surgery in a 21-year-old patient with iris sphincter tears and areflexic mydriasi. In this kind of patient, a posterior capsulotomy is mandatory to avoid quick postoperative posterior opacification. We describe the procedure associated to Agarwal´s single-pass four-throw pupilloplasty. This video is presented by Marta Calatayud-Pinuaga, MD, PhD.
