Transition to Chop: A Non-Impaling Technique

The modified horizontal chop technique presented by Dr. Dewey obviates the need to impale the nucleus with the phaco tip. Dr. Dewey was initially hesitant to adopt this approach, but wanted the benefits of lower phaco power and efficiency. He shares some of his first cases during the transition period from divide and conquer to horizontal chop.
