Trabeculectomy Bleb Revision

Show Description +

Peter T. Chang, MD, demonstrates a revision of a leaking, overhanging trabeculectomy bleb. A late-onset bleb leak is a potentially serious and vision-threatening complication of a filtering procedure. Persistent leak significantly increases the risk of blebitis and endophthalmitis. Ultimately, the priority is to resolve the leak while preserving the function of the bleb.
