In this surgery, Ahmed Abdelshafy Tabl, MD, shows a case of upper temporal bullous rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in a patient with one eye, with difficult subretinal fluid removal. Dr. Tabl demonstrates the 'light pipe trick' previously described by Amr Azab, MD, and Mahrous Shaheen, MD. Dr. Tabl opens the main retinal break and completed fluid-air exchange safely without any need for PFCL or drainage retinotomies.
