Siepser Iris Protector Ring

Show Description +

Eric Rosenberg, DO, presents the first video of a new type of iris dilator invented by Steven Siepser, MD, called the Siepser Iris Protector Ring (SIPR). In this video, the iris was too small to perform a proper capsulotomy. The SIPR is inserted into the eye using a Rayner single-use, soft-tipped IOL injector and, once the device is in place, cataract surgery is performed.

I agree with the first comment. Also, how is this any better than a Malyugin ring?

Pupillary dilation is clearly enough. Why did you need it?
