Siepser for AC IOL in Patient with UGH

Show Description +

Thomas A. Oetting, MD, presents a patient with Uveitis-glaucoma-hyphema syndrome who had a complicated cataract surgery and then PPVx which was complicated by inadvertent injury to the iris. The AC IOL was not perfectly positioned due to the iris issues and the haptic at about 9 o'clock was folding the iris. Here, he shows a siepser technique to place a single 10-O prolene suture to repair the iris and better support the IOL. The IOL was also rotated a bit away from the damaged iris.
