This was a case of severe diabetic retinopathy with a fibrovascular membrane peel. There was a tractional retinal detachment and the vitreous was removed. A direct perfluorocarbon silicon oil exchange was made after panphotocoagulation.

wonderful surgery.What is the contact lens used(flanged)?why do you prefer direct oil PFD exchange? how you make sure infusion canula will not slip while injecting SiO
