Severe Diabetic Retinopathy With Membrane Stripping and Relaxing Retinotomies

Show Description +

This is a very interesting case with severe diabetic retinopathy and severe macular traction threatening the patient's visual acuity. We first performed the macular work, with membrane stripping, freeing up the macula from its neovascular tufts and attachments, thus allowing the macula to sit flat while a peripheral retinotomy was made. We ended the case with laser and silicon oil through a direct PFC-Silicon Oil exchange.
