Residual Nuclear Fragment

Show Description +

Despite meticulous cleanup, a nuclear fragment is able to hide in the subincisional angle. This fragment comes into view only upon irrigation of the clear corneal incisional tunnel and roof with depression of the posterior lip as part of a routine method of wound closure that does not involve extensive stromal hydration.
