Thin cortex remaining on the posterior capsule is common after fragmentation and phacoemulsification with the LenSx Laser. While it is difficult to see, the remnant cortex can be very difficult to remove. In this video presentation, Ming Chen, MD, presents a safe technique for removing this material from the posterior capsule with less risk of tearing.
