Presbyopic LASIK by Micro-Monovision using increased depth of field from non-linear aspheric profiles

Show Description +

Dan Reinstein, MD, discusses the final frontier of refractive surgery: The challenge of correcting presbyopia. According to Dr. Reinstein, non-linear aspheric ablation profiles increase the depth of field of each eye, thereby enabling the difference between each eye to be reduced, increasing tolerance and visual outcome.

Certainly aspheric profiles increase the depth of field - so, yes, with the Alletretto q-slider, you can increase the asphericity of the ablation and increase the depth of field.

excellent idea and presentation!Having read the article in C&RST I had unclarified questions which this video illuminated for the most part!
