In this video Gábor Deák, MD, presents his standard technique in cases of posterior polar cataracts. The key points of the technique are: 1) inside-out hydrodelineation without hydrodissection, 2) leaving the posterior plaque in place till the end of the surgery and then remove it under OVD protection when the rest of the lens is already removed, 3) if the PC is broken, then convert the rent into a posterior capsulorhexis.
