Ozana Moraru, MD, shares a case in which a 37-year-old woman presented with decreased visual acuity and photophobia in both eyes. On examination, Dr. Moraru observed nystagmus, small eyes, total absence of the iris, and dense opacities in the lens. The patient also had diffuse opacities in the cornea and mild neovascularization at the limbus. Dr. Moraru performed phacoemulsification and implantation of a PCIOL and artificial iris in the bag.
