Matthew Rauen, MD, of the Wolfe Eye Clinic in Des Moines, Iowa, performs an endothelial keratoplasty by DSAEK in a patient with Fuchs Endothelial Dystrophy and previous cataract surgery. The donor cornea came from the Iowa Lions Eye Bank (ILEB). This patient's initial cataract surgery was performed in 1979 by Dr. John Graether. Dr. Graether is a pioneering anterior segment surgeon.
