Ozana Moraru, MD, presents a case of a man with choroideremia and a history of cataract surgery with implantation of an in-the-bag PC-IOL 10 years ago. He recently experienced a sudden drop in visual acuity and presented with the complex PC-IOL and capsular bag fallen into the posterior pole due to total zonular rupture. Dr. Moraru performs pars plana vitrectomy with removal of the PC-IOL and the implantation of an Akreos PCIOL (Bausch + Lomb) sutured at the sclera in four points using two Gore-Tex sutures.
