In this video, Dr. Suresh K Pandey, MD, and Dr. Vidushi Sharma, MD, FRCS share pearls for the first implantation of the AMO Tecnis Toric IOL performed on October 9, 2012 at SuVi Eye Institute & Lasik Laser Center, Kota, Rajasthan, India. This 39-year-old patient presented with posterior sub-capsular cataract with with-the-rule corneal astigmatism of 1.62 Diopters. Phaco-aspiration of soft cataract was performed using AMO Signature System with Ellips Fx Ultrasound. The AMO Tecnis Toric (model- ZCT 150, power 21.50 D) was implanted in the capsular bag and precisely aligned along the steep axis (90 degree). The post-operative vision was 6/6 (p) and N6 with addition of plus 2.50 diopters.
