Ahmed Abdelshafy Tabl, MD, presents a case of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment with subretinal proliferative vitreoretinopathy that was managed without subretinal bands removal. During silicone oil removal, the forceps hit the retina causing preretinal bleeding. This complication was managed and vision improved to 6/36.
