A few days following cataract surgery, this patient rubbed his eye so hard it prolapsed the iris out of the eye and subsequently developed endophthalmitis. The patient presented to Michael Patterson, DO, with a corneal perforation for enucleation but since he still had hand motion vision the decision was made to perform a keratoplasty.
