Heads-Up Scleral Buckling With a Chandelier Light (3-D)

Show Description +

This is the case of a 44-year-old female with a macula-on retinal detachment with an inferotemporal retinal dialysis with the vitreous still attached. We demonstrate the technique of scleral buckling using the NGENUITY 3-D System (Alcon). During the surgical procedure we place a 42 silicone band circumferentially and use a 25-gauge chandelier light with the BIOM (Oculus) in order to visualize the retina. This video is presented by Alexandre Grandinetti, MD, PhD.
