The benefit of supracapsular techniques, particularly for resident education, now appears to be an international trend. This procedure is nearly identical to the Starr 'Pop and Prechop' performed at Weill Cornell. Excellent initial results for the Weill Cornell procedure were presented at ARVO 2011 with manuscript in progress. See Eyetube video "Pop and Prechop".
