Early ILM Peel for Full-Thickness Macular Hole

Show Description +

This was an interesting case where we operated on an eye that was asymptomatic months ago and develop a full-thickness macular hole. The patient's other eye was previously diagnosed and operated on for a large macular hole, with partial closure. Being extra careful, we removed the ILM and the patient had a fast recovery and response. We concluded that the earlier the approach the better for the patient.
