Dr. Kaluzny presents a case of a 39-year-old patient diagnosed with Marfan syndrome who experienced a sudden loss of visual acuity in the right eye. A slit-lamp examination revealed that the crystalline lens had dislocated to the anterior chamber and was in contact with the endothelium.

The paper will be published soon in European Journal of Ophthalmology. " The technique was used on 14 eyes. Mean follow-up time was 9.8 months (range 2 to 16 months). In all eyes, a satisfactory IOL position was achieved. Good centration without any sign of tilt was achieved. However, in one case the IOL was slightly decentered because the intraocular part of the suture was put around one of the haptics during the implantation. Visual problems were not reported by any of the patients during the follow up-period. The other intra-operative complication was vitreous hemorrhage, which was observed in 3 eyes and resolved without any intervention. Post-operative complications included temporary IOP increase (4 eyes) and cystoid macular edema (1 eye). At the last examination, the mean endothelial cell loss was 10.6%"
