John Kanellopoulos, MD, presents a combined procedure of phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) and clear cornea cataract extraction using a 23-gauge illuminator (Oertli) in a trachoma patient with severe cornea scarring. The procedure resulted in a reduction of corneal scarring effectively the next day.
