A 48-year old Hispanic male presented with lesions on both fundi. After two sub-tenon Kenalog injections showed no effect on the underlying lesions, Dr. Singer utilized a novel sub-retinal aspiration cannula, the iSRAC (iScience Interventional, Menlo Park, CA) to aspirate fluid and biospy the the lesions for cytopathology and PCR.

How much tissue did you obtain? Did you pull the cannula out after each pass and collect the tissue? How did you handle the tissue?

No it is a self sealing retinomy that is it's utility

nicely done! what was the result of the biopsy/PCR??

Histology showed plasma cells PCR was not done but it has taken alot of other site biopsies since this a varient of Castlemens disease
