Show Description +
Surgeons in this video present a case of a 41-year-old man who had undergone bilateral penetrating keratoplasty for keratoconus. Eight years later, he developed a pterygium on his left eye infringing on the graft-host junction without reactive vascularization. The pterygium with subconjunctival fibrovascular tissue is removed, and the sclera is covered with a sheet of amniotic membrane and extended beyond the limbus into the cornea for better healing.
