Show Description +
A 50-year-old woman with a refractory giant macular hole (> 1,600 µm) undergoes vitrectomy with the placement of a human amniotic membrane graft. PFO was placed over the graft to stabilize it and left in place for approximately 5 minutes. An air-gas exchange with 14% C3F8 was then performed. At postoperative month 9, the graft is in place, the hole is closed, VA has improved, and the patient is satisfied with the outcome.
