In this video, a patient seeking complete freedom from glasses was diagnosed with moderate keratoconus in the left eye, with a best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) of 20/30 and an uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) of 20/400. To address the corneal irregularity, corneal tissue addition keratoplasty (CTAK) was first performed, successfully achieving significant corneal flattening. Following this, an EVO Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL, STAAR Surgical) was implanted to further enhance visual acuity without the need for glasses. The patient achieved remarkable visual results, with 20/20 vision in both eyes post-treatment, providing them with the desired freedom from glasses.
