Dr. Salim Zafar Asaad presents a 27-year-old woman with visual loss and retinal detachment following blunt trauma. Drainage of the choroidal detachment and reformation of the vitreous cavity revealed 180 degrees of bare RPE. It appeared there was a huge retinal tear with half the retinal folded on itself, but on closer examination it was the tear actually extended 360 degrees. A lensectomy of the slightly cataractous lens was performed to facilitate a better view, followed by complete anterior vitrectomy.
