ILM Peeling Without PFCL

Show Description +

Combined macular hole and posterior pole detachment in a patient with high myopia and staphyloma. In this surgery, ILM is peeled without the assistance of PFCL. Note that after fluid-air exchange the surgeon debates whether to drain the submacular fluid. The fluid was left alone and was later pumped out by the patient's RPE cells.
