This video demonstrates one of my first few XEN implantations. I initially placed the stent too anteriorly with too much much of the stent residing in the AC. I therefore removed the stent and made another attempt, which was successful. This video the ease of removing a stent and demonstrates a few pearls when performing this procedure for the fist time.
Instruments Used:

  • XEN stent loader
  • MMC 0.2 mg/cc
  • Verahook second instrument
  • Healon GV
  • 2 mm keratome blade
  • 15 degree side port blade
  • Gonio prism
