Xen External Cutdown Approach

Show Description +

This video describes an external conjunctival cutdown approach to implanting the Xen glaucoma stent. This approach allows the surgeon to control the placement of the Xen stent in relation to the tenons and the conjunctiva. The surgeon can verify the stent is above or below tenons and better avoid intra-tenons placement, which can lead to higher rates of bleb needling.
