Tube Extender Used to Redirect an Eroded Baerveldt Tube

Ike K. Ahmed, MD, and Devesh K Varma, MD, present a uveitic patient with Baerveldt Glaucoma Implant, tube fenestration and sequential ligatures. The patient has had chronic inflammation causing late postoperative erosion of sclera and conjunctiva overlying the tube. The local tissues are too friable for direct appositional closure therefore the tube is redirected to an alternate quadrant using a tube extender.
