This video highlights the fifteen essential steps for performing Pre-Descemet's endothelial keratoplasty (PDEK). To harvest the donor graft, a 5cc syringe is connected to a 30g needle to inject the air to create a dome shaped Type 1 big bubble. The PDEK procedure is then demonstrated step-by-step in a pseudophakic bullous keratopathy case. The biggest advantage of PDEK is that the donor can be any age.
