Show Description +
Jason Jones, MD, demonstrates the use of an intraoperative illuminated keratoscope. Identification of the visual axis for capsulorhexis creation and IOL alignment are illustrated as well as qualitative evaluation of keratometry and orientation of astigmatic treatment with limbal relaxing incisions or toric IOLs. This is the quintessential and essential tool for the refractive cataract surgeon.

The Mastel Keratoscope is qualitative which permits guidance to the steep and flat meridians. The only intra-operative device that gave quantitative analysis was the Terry keratometer as I understand. Thanks for your interest.
