EX-PRESS Shunt with Ologen

Steven Vold, MD, presents an EX-PRESS device (Alcon Laboratories) implantation surgery with Ologen. A trapezoidal scleral flap is created to ensure adequate coverage of the shunt. Ologen, a collagen matrix material, helps maintain the subconjunctival space of the bleb and may prevent postoperative fibrosis.

do you leave it permanently or you need to remove it after few days and if you leave it what about risk of migration? though it's a good idea to maintain the space, don't you get any case with over-filtraton?
